These terms apply when you play SOVLR or use its website and optional connected-account features. By using SOVLR, you agree to these terms.

Playing SOVLR

You may play as a guest without creating a permanent account. Connecting Google is optional and lets you protect and recover your SOVLR record. You are responsible for the Google account you connect and for activity performed through your session.

Fair play

Ranked results are intended to reflect genuine first-attempt puzzle performance. Do not automate play, manipulate timing or network requests, exploit defects, submit false records, interfere with the service, or attempt to access another player's data. SOVLR may exclude invalid records or restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect the game and its players.

Usernames

Claimed usernames must follow the rules shown in the app. Do not choose names that impersonate SOVLR, violate another person's rights, or contain abusive or unlawful content. SOVLR may rename or remove usernames that violate these terms.

Ownership

SOVLR's software, artwork, music, puzzle presentation, branding, and original content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, revocable right to use the game. They do not transfer ownership of SOVLR or its content.

Availability and changes

SOVLR may change, suspend, or discontinue features, puzzles, ranking rules, or online services. We will try to avoid unnecessary loss of legitimate player records, but uninterrupted or error-free availability is not guaranteed.

Third-party services

Optional Google sign-in, Supabase services, Vercel hosting, app stores, and device platforms are governed by their own terms. SOVLR is not responsible for third-party services outside its control.

Disclaimer

SOVLR is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the extent permitted by law. We disclaim warranties that are not required by applicable law.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, SOVLR and its developer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the game. Nothing in these terms limits rights or liabilities that cannot legally be limited.

Termination

You may stop using SOVLR at any time. SOVLR may restrict or end access for serious or repeated violations of these terms, security threats, or unlawful use.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated as SOVLR changes. The updated date above will be revised. Continued use after an update means the revised terms apply.
